Carduus Marianus

Forgets what he has just intended to do.

Sadness with tendency to weep.

Fulness in head with disposition to become angry.

Face yellow. Pressure in forehead, most marked directly over eyes.

Pressive headache, as in incipient coryza.

Headache shortly before meals, disappearing after eating.

Deep inspiration ameliorates pain in the abdomen.

Colic, gall-stones.

Pain in abdomen, pain in liver region, when lying on left side.

Rectum, constipation, insufficient, incomplete, unsatisfactory stools.

Respiration, desire to breathe deep.

Asthmatic respiration.

Genitalia female, menses, copious. 

Metrorrhagia

Profuse diarrhœa due to rectal cancer.

Pain in chest, going to shoulders, back, loins and abdomen, with urging to urinate.

It affects especially the splenic end of the liver. 

Hematemesis due to chronic disease of the spleen. 

Pains in the left hypochondrium , vomiting of blood, which gives relief. 

Hematemesis.

The liver enlargement of Carduus m. is in the transverse direction (that of Chel. being more vertical). 

Varicose ulcers. 

Gastro-intestinal catarrh; epistaxis; metrorrhagia; hemorrhoidal flux; dependent on portal congestion. 

Tenderness of the liver; bilious fever; symptoms resembling peritonitis and stitch-in-the-side.

Phthisis pituitosa.

Great giddiness with inclination to fall forward; sudden and profuse epistaxis followed by great relief.

Affections of liver, spleen, and kidneys caused by abuse of alcoholic beverages, especially beer. 

Cirrhosis of the liver and general dropsy.

Much fatigue is experienced, worse after eating; when riding; on awaking; frequently accompanied by yawning. 

Pain in hip-joint, spreading through buttocks and down thigh; worse from stooping. Difficult rising. Weakness felt in feet, especially after sitting.

Chilliness is prominent, on awaking; at night; uncovering aggravates. 

Coldness of knees. 

Head very sensitive to cold. 

Sweating of forehead and back after meals. 

Stitches, drawing pressure, radiating pains; constriction, band-sensation. cramps. Motion aggravates most complaints.

Dose: ‘Carduus Marianus’ MT,6,12 and 30 potency (1 to 5 drops in 10 ml water on empty stomach or as advised by your doctor).
